Maroke Live Enhanced Muhassan: Vietnamese agarwood infused with natural oud resin and pure oud oil from Papua, Indonesia. Maroke is the traditional name for oud from the Merauke region of Papua, and its oil brings this Muhassan its deep, wild character.

Warm a piece and it releases a rich, layered fragrance: deep resinous wood first, then the earthy, smoky incense that Papua oud is known for, all wrapped in the rich sweetness Muhassan is loved for. The added oud oil gives it a fuller body and lasting presence, settling into a deep, smooth drydown that lingers in the room.

What is Enhanced Muhassan?

Muhassan means "improved" in Arabic. It is agarwood that has been infused with oud resin to deepen its aroma and extend the burn. Enhanced Muhassan goes a step further: alongside natural oud resin, it is infused with pure Papua oud oil for extra depth and richness. It is not natural oud alone, and we always say so clearly.

We travel to Vietnam to find our oud and the people behind it. Our Muhassan is made for us by a Vietnamese partner we have worked with for 15 years, to recipes we developed together. Upon arrival, each batch is inspected, weighed and packed by hand.

How to enjoy

Warm a small piece on mica over charcoal, or on an electric burner set low. Gentle heat releases the aroma slowly; a single piece is often enough to perfume a room.

Maroke Live is a rich raw material for your own creations. Break or grind small pieces into homemade bakhoor and incense blends for a deep, smoky, long-lasting oud base.
