In the agarwood world, "Bentley" is the name of a specific Muhassan, renowned in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia for its top-quality character.

Warm a piece and it releases a deep, enveloping oud fragrance: a heavy resinous core wrapped in warm sweetness, with rich, dense smoke and a strong presence that fills the room and lingers.

What is Muhassan?

Muhassan means "improved" in Arabic. It is genuine agarwood that has been infused with natural oud resin, a traditional practice in the Gulf that deepens the aroma and extends the burn. It is not natural wood alone, and we always say so clearly.

We travel to Vietnam to find our oud and the people behind it. Our Muhassan is made for us by a Vietnamese partner we have worked with for 15 years, to recipes we developed together. Upon arrival, each batch is inspected, weighed and packed by hand.

How to enjoy

Warm a small piece on mica over charcoal, or on an electric burner set low. Gentle heat releases the aroma slowly; a single piece is often enough to perfume a room.

Bentley Muhassan is a fine raw material for your own creations. Break or grind small pieces into homemade bakhoor and incense blends for a deep, sweet, long-lasting oud base.
