Gurmit Oud Chips – Wild Hindi Agarwood from Assam & Nagaland
Super grade Gurmit oud: wild Hindi agarwood from Assam and Nagaland in northeast India, sorted by hand. Sweet, woody and beautifully smooth, it's the everyday oud you'll reach for again and again.
Warm a chip and a soft woody base rises first, carried by a gentle sweetness through the smoke. It develops slowly and evenly into balsamic resin and a touch of soft spice, balanced and refined, with no harshness at all.
Scent notes
Warm wood · Gentle sweetness · Balsamic resin · Soft spice
From the source
We travel to India to find our oud and the people behind it. Those direct relationships are how we buy today: we select every batch ourselves, and upon arrival, each chip is sorted by hand for resin and quality, then weighed and packed for your order.
How to enjoy
Warm a small chip on mica over charcoal, or on an electric burner set low. Avoid direct flame; gentle heat draws out the resin slowly. A single chip is often enough to perfume a room.
For makers
Gurmit is a fine raw material for your own creations. Break or grind small pieces into homemade bakhoor blends, or use it in natural perfumery, such as oud tinctures and infusions.
